Brightline’s Celebrates World Car Free Day

Miami, FL - Brightline, Florida’s new hospitality-focused express, intercity passenger rail service, is encouraging South Florida to celebrate World Car Free Day by launching the Get out of Your Car Challenge. People can enter by sharing a social media post using the hastag #GetOurOfYourCar and #gobrightline documenting how they ditched their car for the day for the chance to win an Annual Pass on Brightline’s Smart service. Brightline will announce five winners on October 1.
“Whether we’re talking about World Car Free Day or the stress of your morning commute, we want Brightline to be top of mind,” said Johanna Rojas, vice president of marketing for Brightline. “Beyond the stress of traffic, all of us are looking for better ways to travel and to get around. We look forward to people experiencing the benefits of ditching their car and enjoying a convenient and comfortable way to get to their jobs or entertainment.”
Each year on September 22, World Car Free Day is held in more than 2,000 cities around the world with the goal to reduce the number of cars on area roadways. Benefits include reduced traffic congestion, accidents and pollution. Brightline is excited and proud to be part of this global initiative.
